From the 1st of November, Sleipnir Tours takes visitors from Gullfoss onto Langjökull for a guided winter glacier and natural ice-cave experience. The natural ice cave season is from November to 15th of April.  Quick answer: The Sleipnir Ice Cave and Glacier Tour is a guided winter tour from Gullfoss to the natural Neptune ice cave on Langjökull. The experience includes transportation toward the glacier, a journey in a specially designed Sleipnir glacier truck, crampons and a guided cave visit. It normally takes approximately three to four hours from Gullfoss and has a minimum age of four years. No previous glacier experience is required, but guests must be able to walk over snow, steps and uneven ground.
